Why Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Is The House of Miracles

I want to talk about Sloan Kettering, there is no hospital in the world that I have called more as an advocate (and daughter of 2 parents each diagnosed with two distinct cancers including GIST (Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor) and a total of 8 people diagnosed with cancer in my family) than I have called them over the past almost 12 years. I have called thousands of times for GIST and every cancer imaginable and every time (with 100 percent sincerity I can tell you) that whoever I speak to does not consider their job a job, they believe and they are right that they are curing cancer. And they believe and act as if that is the case (which it is) with every call, appointment, communication. From the first person you meet to the heads of the hospital, Sloan Kettering is The House of Miracles and they treat every patient and patient advocate with love which can’t be said of every hospital. So grateful for them!
