Jaye presented “How to Avoid Holiday Weight Gain” to court reporters and staff at Diamond Brooklyn on Friday, November 22nd. She shared her expertise on gluten-free and Paleo eating as well as tips to stay positive when you’ve overindulged. And she even shared a healthy pumpkin pie recipe!
Enjoy the Holiday, eat up, all you want! But the day after, get right back on track, into your healthy routine with these Do’s and Don’t’s.
Do take a walk the morning after, even if you have to get up earlier before the start of your day.
Do be mindful. After a big meal/binge, your attitude will mean the difference between repeating or breaking the cycle.
Don’t beat yourself up!
Don’t get on the scale, it will reflect a lot of ‘water’ weight.
Don’t let one day of eating and celebrating become a week-long vacation.
If you want to continue to indulge, silence that voice in your head about how much you ate. That was then, this is now. There are emotions behind why we eat what we eat. You may not be hungry, just hungry for something specific. So write it down! Is something bothering you? Write out a gratitude list or try meditation.
